The Power of Yoga

Yoga has now been a part of my life for a while. As an anxious person who deals with a lot of stress, I needed an outlet to relieve this, and yoga was it! I also wanted to practice yoga, because I heard that it not only relieves your stress, it can also reduce your androgen levels, helping to clear your skin. Yoga for me serves 3 purposes; to heal the body, mind and soul. It has honestly changed all three of these aspects in such a positive way. Yoga helps to tone and strengthen your body, making it more flexible and lean. It also helps to clear the mind, relieving any stress you may have. I also believe that it has significantly aided in keeping my complexion clear, mainly because of the stress relief. Through different poses, blood flow is rushed to your face, which helps in increasing circulation and improving your skin! Yoga also really helps to ground you, helping to clear your mind and think about what is really important in life. It’s a great way to escape the day and take some time to yourself. The routine in which I practice daily, only consists of three poses, only taking up around 5-10 minutes or less. Even if your day is busy, there is always time to make to yourself, and with only three simple poses, you can’t go wrong.
