RMS Beauty Lip Shine in “Bloom”

Hello Beauties!

I think by now you know how OBSESSED I am with RMS beauty, in particular their lip products. I think she has nailed the formula, packaging, colours and ingredients. I really love her lip shines, which to me are a hybrid between a lip gloss and a lip balm. I love using raw coconut oil on my lips as I have very dry lips, so RMS lip shines are the perfect product for me. I love her lip shine in sacred, which is a very pigmented bright pink, however I was looking for a more sheer pink wash of colour to use at night or on a daily basis. My mother was using this colour, which is bloom, described as a “sheer petal pink with a subtle hint of shimmer.” The shade is exactly that, a very sheer wash of colour that is almost the same shade as my lip colour. I will admit at first I was quite disappointed as I thought it was too sheer for me and not glossy enough. The colour did grow on me and I really liked how natural it looked on my lips. As with all RMS products, everything is raw, food grade, and certified organic, which I especially love in lip products.

IMG_2592

With flash, you can see tiny flecks of shimmer.

Description:

Fusing a blend of nourishing oils and pure mineral pigments, this creamy lip emollient delivers a sheer hint of colour and a touch of gloss to lips.”

This is a very nourishing, healing balm that feels smooth and hydrating on the lips. However, I don’t think this is glossy enough for me and would prefer more shine. I do love how this does not feel sticky at all! Even though it has shimmer in it, you cannot see or feel chunks of it on your lips. Because this is a lighter shade of pink, if you have any dry skin on your lips it will catch onto it. I always recommend scrubbing your lips beforehand. I wouldn’t say this is the most moisturising lip shine I’ve tried, as I found the colour sacred to be a lot more hydrating. Nonetheless, this is still a great lip product that moisturises and provides a sheer wash of colour.

I can’t really describe the scent, other than it’s not fruity or floral, just natural. It kind of smells/tastes like raw coconut oil. I quite like it. Even though the size of the pot is small, the product lasts such a long time as you only need a little bit. Because this is a sheer colour, it won’t last as long on your lips, compared to sacred which would leave a pretty stain on my lips overnight!

Ingredients: *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Buriti (Mauritia Flexuosa) Oil, *Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), Centella Asiatica Extract, *Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Non-GMO, may contain: [+/- Iron Oxides CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, Titanium Dioxide CI 77891 and Mica CI 77019].

I love how short and simple her ingredient list is. I also love how you can recognise every single ingredient!

I would highly recommend trying out her lip shines if you like to wear lip balm with colour. If you love coconut oil like me, especially on your lips, you will love her products! I think she has created gorgeous formulas and shades that would work for everyone.

KORA Organics Daily Hand Cream Review

tMdvRPcfRXiEfOifcjgEXg_thumb_49.jpg

Today I will be doing a review on the KORA Organics Daily Hand Cream. I know i’ve reviewed so many products from the KORA range but I’ve been pleasantly surprised most of the time and enjoy using their products. I didn’t set out to purchase this product as it was sent to me as a gift with purchase. I already was using a hand cream I loved, the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream (I know it’s not organic, but it’s my favourite).

I will be honest, at first I was not impressed by this hand cream. I found that it did not give enough moisture as I was so used to the rich formula of the L’Occitane one. However, I wanted to give it a good try and ended up reaching for it daily. First of all, the scent is absolutely divine…very summer and citrusy. It’s the KORA signature scent that I love. The formula is more runny than thick, so you only need the smallest amount as it is quite hard to blend in if you apply too much. This hand cream will last you such a long time as you only need a small amount.

Description: A unique anti-ageing blend of Noni Extract, Avocado and Olive Oil to create the perfect rich, healing and replenishing potion for hands and nails. Ideal for re-hydrating hands and cuticles leaving them soft, smooth and renewed.

Ingredients: Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender)*, Matricaria chamomilla (recutita – Chamomile)*, Olea europaea (Olive) Leaf*, Fucus vesiculosus (Bladderwrack) Extract*, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Macadamia integrifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil*, Olivoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Glyceryl Oleate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Olea europaea (Olive) Oil, Glycerin^, Morinda citrifolia (Noni Fruit) Extract*, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Rosa eglentaria (Rose Hip) Oil*, Tocopherol (and) Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Punica granatum (Pomegranate) Sterols, Carageenan, Santalum spicatum (Sandalwood) Oil*, Citrus reticulata (Mandarin) Oil*, Citrus paradisi (Grapefruit) Oil*, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lecithin (GMO free)*, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Citrus aurantium ssp bergamia (Bergamot) Oil*, Sodium chloride (Macrobiotic Sea Salt), Beta Carotene, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Lactic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Aqua (Water), Limonene**, Linalool**. *Ingredient from Organic Farming. **From essential oils. ^Made using Organic Ingredients. 98.0% of the total ingredients are from Natural Origin. 62.7% of the total ingredients are from Organic Farming.

What I love most about this anti ageing formula compared to the L’Occitane hand cream is the finish. The KORA formula gives a more silky matte finish that doesn’t leave that dreaded greasy residue from rich hand creams. Because it dries very quickly, you can easily go about your day without waiting for it to dry like the L’Occitane one. It leaves your hands feeling incredibly silky smooth with a subtle hint of citrus essential oils. My cuticles also looked amazing whilst using this! However, I still think that the KORA hand cream would be better suited in the summer months when you don’t need as thick of a hand cream.

Although this is a lovely anti ageing formula, I would love to see KORA create a hand cream that incorporates SPF as we all know out hands show the first signs of ageing. I would definitely be repurchasing this for the summer months, however I will stick to my L’Occitane hand cream in the winter when I need more of a rich formula.

Inika Loose Mineral Blush in Blooming Nude & Inika Vegan Blush Brush Review

Hello Beauties!

Today I will be reviewing Inika’s loose mineral blush in blooming nude along with their vegan blush brush. I have purchased from Inika before and have been impressed with their products. I absolutely love their loose mineral blush in ‘Peachy Keen’ and think everyone should own this colour (review here).

Inika is an amazing Australian brand of certified organic cosmetics that cater to the modern woman wanting quality makeup with skin loving ingredients that perform. Inika has actually won awards for their products that have out performed non organic brands. Inika is great for people with skin sensitives as they are gentle and contain advanced botanical ingredients completely free of synthetics, and all their products are certified organic, halal, vegan, and cruelty free. How amazing is that!

I adore the shade ‘peachy keen’ and continue to use it daily, however I was looking for a blush that was more on the bronzy nude shade for winter. The shade ‘blooming nude’ is exactly that. A hybrid between a mauve blush and a bronzer. It is even described as being a contour shade for the cheekbones, which would be perfect as it doesn’t contain much, if any shimmer (as you can see in the flash photo below). My first impressions were quite underwhelming as I didn’t think the shade suited my fair complexion. However, the more I started to play around with it, the more I fell in love with it. t is such a pretty, natural shade that would look amazing on a variety of skin tones. This is definitely my go to winter blush shade as it goes with more darker lip colours and a neutral smokey eye.

What I love about Inika’s loose mineral blushes is how incredibly soft and easily blendable they are. They are also incredibly pigmented due to the lack of synthetic fillers, oil, talc, alcohol, fragrance, preservatives, and chemical dyes. Not only will this pot of blush last you for years, the colour is also very long lasting throughout the day and gives your skin a natural, healthy glow. I also love the minimal ingredient list as the fewer ingredients a product contains, the less likely it is to irritate your skin!

As you can tell in the images above, Blooming Nude is a very bronzy shade compare to Peachy Keen. It is also very matte compared to Peachy Keen, which give you more of a glow.

Ingredients: Mica (CI 77019); Zinc Oxide (CI 77947); May contain (+/-) Tin Oxide (Cl 77861), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891); Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Ultramarines (Cl 77007).

*Certified Organic

Certified Cruelty-Free, Vegan and Halal.

Size: 3g

Price: AUD $45

Rating: 5/5

Website: https://www.inikaorganic.com

Overall, I really love Inika’s loose mineral blushes, and recommend you give them a try if you have sensitive/breakout prone skin. I love the shade “blooming nude” as my winter blush as it gives the right amount of bronze and pinky mauve to the cheeks!

fullsizerender-2

Inika’s Vegan Blush brush is made from soft synthetic fibres, is vegan, cruelty free, and halal. The bristles are incredibly soft and are designed to pick up product and distribute evenly and flawlessly across the face. Because the brush is so dense, it picks up a lot of product in one area of the brush instead of evenly on the entire brush. I find I have to swirl the product in the cap before I apply it onto my face so I spread the product evenly on the brush. Besides that, I do think this is a beautifully made brush that applies product nicely and very gently on the face. It can not only be used for blush but also as a contour brush as it fits perfectly in the hollows of the cheekbones.

Description:

“Our Vegan Blush Brush is designed for shading and highlighting the cheeks and face with our Loose Mineral Blush or Loose/Baked Mineral Bronzer.

The perfectly sized bristles are extremely soft, and, like the Kabuki Brush, are designed to hold the powder in the brush helping to maximise the application of the product.”

Ingredients: 100% Vegan & Cruelty Free Synthetic Bristles.

Application:

“Use small circular motions to apply INIKA Mineral Blush or Bronzer to the cheeks for a natural glow.

Slimline the face and create depth by adding bronzer to the hollows of the cheek and jawline.”

Price: AUD $39

Website: https://www.inikaorganic.com

Overall, I do think this is a beautifully designed brush that is very soft and works perfectly with the Inika Loose Mineral blushes as well as contouring powders.

Benefits of Coconut Oil: My Experience

FullSizeRender.jpgHello Beauties!

Today I thought I’d share some of the many benefits of using beautiful, organic coconut oil. Now, if you’re like me and you’re obsessed with anything coconut, you will absolutely love this product. I cannot go a day without using coconut oil in my routine, as it is so multi purpose. If you really want to get the full health benefits of coconut oil, you must get cold pressed extra virgin organic coconut oil. I swear by Niulife Coconut Oil that I found at a health food shop and can also be ordered online here. What I love about this brand is that this coconut oil is certified fair trade, certified organic, unrefined, vegan, non gmo, and much more!

Can we just talk about the delicious smell of this coconut oil…it’s absolutely divine! A must have for any coconut lover. The size may seem small, and you can order larger sizes, but in my experience I take around a full year to use up this whole jar and would rather have a smaller size so that I can use it all up before it expires (even though it does have a long shelf life). Keep in mind, that in warmer temperatures, the oil will liquify, and in cooler months, it will become a pure white solid.

Coconut oil is known to be antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antifungal, serving many health benefits. Coconut oil is also the key ingredient in one of my favourite makeup lines, RMS Beauty!

I’ll start off by listing the many benefits of using coconut oil below:

-Healthy cooking oil

-Daily health/energy supplement

-Luscious body/hair oil

-Luxurious moisturiser and massage oil

-Make-up remover

-Baby oil: skin, rashes, etc

-Supports your immune system

-Keeps skin youthful, smooth and healthy

….and the list goes on!

My Experience:

Moisturiser: I’ve heard that using coconut oil as a face moisturiser either breaks people out or keeps their skin clear. Unfortunately, my skin type does clog up when using heavy oils, so I don’t use coconut oil on my face. However, it does make a fantastic lip balm for dry, cracked lips! I also suffered from bug bites all over my legs at one point and used only coconut oil everyday and they magically disappeared so quickly and without a trace left behind. It also soaks in really quick and helps to even out the skin tone. The smell of coconut also lingers on your skin afterwards, leaving it baby soft. I do agree that coconut oil is fantastic for any irritation, bites, and rashes. On this note, it is also fantastic for calming down razor burn and getting rid of those nasty bumps.

Oil Pulling: I also have started to get into oil pulling (swishing oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes), which you can read up on about all the health benefits. I mainly wanted to do this to whiten my teeth and keep my mouth clean, and I do notice a difference in the whiteness of my teeth and after one use I notice the enamel on my front teeth to look significantly better!

Overall, if you’re looking for an all purpose product that can offer you several health and beauty benefits and doesn’t cost you much, I would highly recommend using certified organic cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil. You won’t regret it!

KORA ORGANICS Exfoliating Cream Review

exfoliating-cream_1

Hello Beauties!

Today I will be reviewing a product I used a while ago, the KORA ORGANICS Exfoliating Cream. Usually I save a product to take pictures and write a review, but unfortunately I threw it out, however you can look up pictures online to see the consistency. I’m not a fan of the concept of a scrub that is made for both face and body as I think the face has much more delicate skin than the body. I’m always on the look out for the purest, most natural product out there, and I also love everything I’ve tried from the KORA range, which is why I gave this product a go. Unfortunately my skin (which is sensitive, dry and breakout prone) did not agree with this product and I found the scrub to be too scratchy for my liking. I ended up using this on my body, which didn’t do too bad of a job, but I found myself wanting to just get rid of it and use it all up, especially because the tube is so big. Back when Miranda Kerr first launched KORA I remember the first product I used was the scrub, so I thought I would give it a go, but the consistency is definitely very different and not how I remembered it.

I would also break out more than usual when I used this, which is a big no no for me. I will stick to my beloved Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub (recommended to me by my esthetician), which has the most perfect consistency and blend of natural and safe ingredients for people of all skin types. I will say though, I loved how cooling the KORA scrub felt on the skin (not sure what ingredient did this, maybe the oat flour?), especially if you’re skin is really hot and inflammed. The smell, like all KORA products, was absolutely divine and smelt very woodsy like Chamomoile and Bamboo. Even though my skin felt soft after, it didn’t compare to how baby soft my skin feels with the Dermalogica scrub. Even though the Kora scrub was really scratchy, I didn’t feel like it did a whole lot of scrubbing and would sometimes hurt to use on my sensitive skin. I love how thick and creamy, scrubby the Dermalogica one is as it never feels like too much, whereas the KORA one felt more runny and the bead particles were definitely larger. With facial scrubs, you have to be careful with not using scratchy, large beads as it could cut your skin and cause scarring.

Description on Website:

“KORA Organics Exfoliating Cream contains a unique blend of organically grown Oat Flour and Bamboo to gently buff away dead skin cells helping to reveal a smoother, softer complexion. KORA Organics gentle and effective exfoliant is filled with Essential Oils to nourish and cleanse the skin and is gentle enough to be used on all skin types including sensitive skin.”

Ingredients:

Matricaria chamomilla (recutita – chamomile) *, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera ) Leaf juice*, Olivoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Oleate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Macadamia integrifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil *, Bambusa arundinacea (Bamboo) Stem Extract, Stearic Acid, Avena sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour*, Morinda citrifolia (Noni Fruit) Extract *, Dicaprylyl Ether, Persea gratissima (Avocado) Oil*, Rosa eglentaria (Rose Hip) Oil*, d-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Soyabean derived Natural Vitamin E), Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Santalum spicatum (Sandalwood) Oil*, Citrus reticulata (Mandarin)Oil*, Citrus paradisi (Grapefruit) Oil*, Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) Oil*, Citrus aurantium ssp.bergamia (Bergamot) Oil*, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Lecithin (GMO free)*, Potassium Hydroxide, Lactic Acid, Sodium chloride (macrobiotic sea salt solution), Beta Carotene, Olea europaea (Olive) Oil, Aqua (Water), limonene**. **From essential oils. *Ingredient from Organic Farming.

PROUDLY AUSTRALIAN MADE AND OWNED. NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS. VEGAN.

Scent: Very pleasant, subtle woodsy chamomile/bamboo scent. Very calming and herbal smelling. My favourite thing about Kora products is always the smell!

Consistency: Not a fan. It was more of a thin, runny, scratchy consistency, meaning you would use a lot more product.

Longevity: Although amazing how large the tube is and how much product you get, I find it too bulky and hard to store. I wish it would come in a smaller size. If you were to only use this on your face, it would last you a very long time.

Size: 100 mL / 3.38 fl.oz.

Skin Type: Although it’s recommended for all types, I believe this would be better suited fro someone with thicker, oilier skin that is not sensitive.

Price: AU$54.95

Rating: 2.5/5

Recommend? Sadly, I would not recommend this product, especially if you have very sensitive skin that is easily irritated. In that case, I would recommend the Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub. Maybe the Kora scrub will be better suited to people with thicker skin who can take a lot of scrubbing.

KORA Organics Balancing Rose Mist Review

Hello Beauties!

Today I will be reviewing the KORA Organics Balancing Rose Mist. I was looking for a rose mist that was really hydrating and dewy looking on the skin. I was given the KORA Organics Calming Lavender Mist as a gift however I found it broke me out (probably due to the lavender) as I have sensitive skin. I did really enjoy the scent of it as it was very calming and herbal so I decided to give the Rose mist a go since I know my skin loves rosewater and is great for people with sensitive skin. I love the look of my skin with this mist as it gives a really nice dewy look, however if you spritz a lot of it throughout the day without any makeup on, it can feel sticky especially on my eyelids which is really uncomfortable. However I found the rose mist to be less sticky than the lavender mist, and felt more refreshing. To fix this problem you could always just spritz less.

I mainly got this mist to make my mineral powder foundation (Jane Iredale Purepressed Base) look more dewy and hydrating during the colder months, which it does a fantastic job of. It also gets rid of any dry flakes you have on the skin without disturbing your makeup. If you feel like your powder foundation looks a bit heavy, this does a great job of making it look more natural. It also doesn’t break me out, and I noticed any existing pimples were reduced dramatically when using this. The ingredients in this mist are exceptional for dry, sensitive skin like mine. I noticed this mist didn’t contain as much or any essential oils that can irritate the skin. For my skin, spritzing 2-3 times a day is enough to see results. The packaging also frustrates me. The lid is very hard to open and the nozzle even broke off at one point. I do however love how fine the mist is, and how evenly it spreads across the face (which the Vanessa Megan one failed to do). I have since repurchased this again, and can now say this product is a holy grail and replaced my Vanessa Megan rosewater toner! I know this product is quite pricey and you can get plain rosewater anywhere, however I feel like the added ingredients in this product make it extra special.

Description on Website:

“A replenishing and nourishing facial mist with the added benefits of organically grown Rose, Noni, Aloe and Hibiscus. This unique combination provides the skin with antioxidant protection known widely to assist in supporting the skin’s own collagen production.”

Directions

“Use morning and night after cleansing and before your choice of KORA Organics moisturizers. Simply spritz a fine mist directly onto clean, fresh skin. To maintain makeup freshness throughout the day gently spritz over makeup. Essential for travelling to re-hydrate the skin.”

Ingredients: Rosa damascena (Rose) Flower Water*, Rosa centifolia (Rose)*, Hibiscus sabdariffa (Hibiscus)* Extract, Alcohol^, Parfum (Natural), Sodium PCA, Glycerin^, Morinda citrifolia (Noni Fruit) Extract *, Polyglycerol-10 Isostearate, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Malpighia glabra (Acerola Cherry Powder)*, d-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Soyabean derived Natural Vitamin E), Glyceryl Caprylate, Maltodextrin^, Sodium chloride (Macrobiotic sea salt ), Lactic Acid, Aqua (Water). *Ingredient from Organic Farming. ^Made using Organic Ingredients. 98.99% of the total ingredients are from Natural Origin. 87.63% of the total ingredients are from Organic Farming.

Skin Type for: Normal/Dry skin

Smell: I really enjoy the heavenly rose scent. It’s not obnoxious at all, just very calming and refreshing.

Feel: If you do spritz a lot throughout the day without makeup on, it can feel sticky. However, over the top of foundation you cannot feel it. When I go to wash my face at the end of the day it feels incredibly soft, smooth and hydrated.

Packaging:

FullSizeRender 3

The sprayer on this mist is the best I have come across. I love how even and fine the mist comes out of the bottle and the nozzle allows you to control how much to spray. What I don’t like is how hard the lid is to take off and put back on. There’s a certain way to take off the lid (almost snap it off on the side), which led to the nozzle falling off at one time but I was able to put it back on easily.

Longevity: As mentioned, if you do have dry skin and go to town with your mist all day long, it will run out very quickly.

Look: I love how dewy and hydrated my skin looks when this is applied with or without makeup on.

Recommend: I would highly recommend this if you have sensitive, dry and flakey skin and are looking to make your mineral makeup more dewy. I feel like what sets this rosewater spray apart from others is definitely the sprayer and how even and fine a mist you get, but also the ingredients just work perfectly together to calm and soothe the skin. I have now repurchased this three times, so you know how good it is!

KORA Organics Cream Cleanser Review

IMG_0293

Hello Beauties!

Today I will be giving you the low down on an amazing new discovery, the KORA Organics Cream Cleanser! I was first given samples of this cleanser about 2 weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with it that I purchased the full size. I can usually tell with the first go if my skin will like a product, and I was given three samples so I felt like I was given a lot of time to see how my skin liked it….and it LOVED it. I am really picky with skincare products, including organic ones, because my skin is so sensitive and reactive.

I love how soothing and calming this cleanser is to my skin. I have tried organic cream cleansers in the past that were too rich and heavy and left a film over my skin and broke me out, but this one is formulated so perfectly in that it’s light and nourishing at the same time. I’ve had such hydrated, clear, glowy skin for such a long time whilst using this product. I never get flaky skin anymore, which makes applying my powder foundation so easy and seamless. My pores are also so much smaller that if I do ever get a pimple here and there it is so small and easily extracted that it leaves no mark behind!

I still use my Environ cleansing gel to remove my makeup as I don’t think this is powerful enough to do so. This is perfect for no makeup days when you don’t want to strip the skin of its natural oils. I have tried so many products from KORA Organics and I have yet to be disappointed! I love this product so much that I look forward to washing my face! It leaves my skin feeling very comfortable, not too oily, not too dry, just right. I would highly recommend this cleanser if you suffer from dry, sensitive skin and are looking to have a radiant, healthy glow.

Description on website:

Enriched with powerful benefits of Noni Extract, Aloe and Sandalwood to gently clean away dirt and grime whilst helping to nourish and revitalise dry, dehydrated skin. KORA Organics Cream Cleanser is ideal for sensitive skin; containing Rosehip, Avocado and Macadamia nut oils to nourish and maintain skin balance. Your skin will feel clean, fresh and invigorated.

I definitely agree with the nourishing and skin balancing properties!

Directions:

Cleanse morning and night. Gently massage a small amount using circular motions onto damp face, neck and décolletage. Rinse using tepid water and a soft face cloth. Pat dry. For beautiful skin follow with your choice of KORA Organics Mist and KORA Organics Moisturiser.

I would highly recommend using tepid water with this cleanser as it has helped calm my skin. The redness and dryness that I was struggling with has also diminished using tepid water with this cleanser. I don’t use a face cloth, however after I rinse off the cleanser with my hands I go in with a cotton pad, which is very gentle on the skin.

Ingredients: Matricaria chamomilla (recutita – Chamomile) Extract*, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf juice*, Olivoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Oleate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Macadamia integrifolia (Macadamia) Seed Oil*, Stearic Acid, Dicaprylyl Ether, Morinda citrifolia (Noni Fruit) Extract*, Persea gratissima (Avocado) Oil*, Rosa eglentaria(Rose Hip) Oil*, d-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (soyabean derived Natural Vitamin E), Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Citrus aurantium ssp.bergamia (Bergamot) Oil*, Santalum spicatum (Sandalwood) Oil*, Citrus reticulata (Mandarin) Oil*, Citrus paradisi (Grapefruit) Oil*, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Lecithin (GMO free)*, Potassium Hydroxide, Lactic Acid, Sodium Chloride (Macrobiotic sea salt solution), Beta Carotene, Olea europaea (Olive) Oil, Aqua (Water), limonene**. *Ingredient from Organic Farming. **From essential oils. 98.33% of the total ingredients are from Natural Origin. 50.71% of the total ingredients are from Organic Farming.

I absolutely love how creamy, yet light the texture of this cleanser is. It’s more watery than past cream cleansers I have tried, which is amazing for my breakout prone skin. It feels amazing and nourishing on the skin without being heavy or leaving a film on the skin. Your skin feels baby soft afterwards which lasts throughout the day, even with powder foundation on top!

Scent:

The scent is very natural, soothing and calming because of the Chamomoile. I love how the scent is not overpowering at all!

Packaging:

IMG_0294

I love KORA Organics aqua blue packaging! It’s so soothing and beautiful to look at. I also love the positive affirmations at the back of each product, in which this reads gratitude. I love the squeeze tube packaging, however I feel like some of the product leaks into the lid which could waste some product, however it’s not too big of a problem.

Price: AUD $44.95

Size: 90 mL / 3.04 fl.oz.

Results:

-clear skin

-smooth, baby soft skin

-flake free, hydrated and soothed skin

-balanced and even skin

Vanessa Megan Rose Water Spray Toner Review

IMG_9534.jpgHello Beauties!

Today I will be reviewing the Vanessa Megan Rose Water Spray Toner. I was on the search for an all natural and certified organic pure rose water spray as a makeup setting spray to help make my skin look more dewy as I have really dry skin. The only other rose water spray I have tried was one from MV Organics which I found to be too oily and heavy for my skin because it contained rose oil as well as other ingredients. I find the Vanessa Megan rose water spray to be a better option for my skin as it is light but also very hydrating and soothing as the same time.

Description as on Website:

Vanessa Megan Rose Water Spray (100ml) is a pure, certified organic Rose Hydrosol. Wonderful as a natural toner and spritzer, it leaves skin hydrated and refreshed. It also makes for a fab makeup refresher and hydrating travel companion.

Rose Otto Hydrosol ‘Super’ (Certified Organic) is produced using beautiful, Bulgarian organic roses. This is not a bi-product of essential oil distillation, instead it has been produced exclusively for its highly fragrant rose water.

Rosewater is suited to all skin types. It controls and balances sebum production, making it ideal for both dry and oily skin. It can balance and restore skin’s Ph and help reduce open pores. Its antibacterial properties help fight acne giving troubled skin a gentle, rather than harsh treatment. It is also known to be useful in the treatment of dermatitis.

The scent is absolutely divine! Very calming and soothing. It doesn’t linger on your skin though, so you won’t smell like a bouquet of roses (unfortunately).  It uses the highest quality Bulgarian roses to produce this luxurious scent. It’s not overpowering at all, just simply delicious.

The way I use this toner is both as a makeup setting spray, over my Jane Iredale Purepressed Base, to give a more dewy look, or I spray this throughout the day over my moisturiser to hydrate and even out skin tone, whilst also bringing down any inflammation I have.

IMG_9527.jpg

I love how pure and simple this product is as it contains only one ingredient, 100% natural and certified organic rose water hydrosol. It is also Australian made, Australian Certified Organic (the highest certification for food and cosmetics), vegan, and not tested on animals!

The packaging is a let down for me. Although I love the glass bottle and butterfly detail, the sprayer is just terrible. It sprays so uneven and doesn’t spray where you position it, which in turn wastes product (The KORA rose mist nozzle is amazing with even application of the fine mist). I love how the glass bottle is dark so that the sunlight doesn’t spoil the product inside, but it is also transparent enough for you to see how much product you have left.

This rose water spray has not broken me out once, but has made my skin a lot better. If I do have any breakouts, this is very helpful and soothing to areas of inflammation. It definitely gives you a nice, healthy glow, smoothing out the skin. It never makes your skin oily or too heavy feeling, just very refreshed and comfortably hydrated. As for the evening out of the skin tone, I feel like I need to use this over a long period of time to see results.

The price comes to AUD$29.95 for 100ml. I think it’s very affordable considering the quality of the rose water, the amount you get, and how much comes out with one spray, making it last for months.

I highly recommend rosewater to anyone suffering from dry, ageing, sensitive skin that is also prone to breakouts and inflammation. Although I love the product inside, I do wish they would fix the sprayer to provide a more even and fine mist application. Because of this issue, I will not be repurchasing this product.

KORA ORGANICS Luxurious Rosehip Body Oil Review

FullSizeRender

Hello Beauties!

Today I will be reviewing the KORA ORGANICS Luxurious Rosehip Body Oil. You all know how much I absolutely adore this line of certified organic skincare because of my very sensitive, troublesome skin. I am very particular of what products I use on my skin, both face and body, because I am prone to breakouts and eczema. I have tried a lot of different products from the KORA range and so far have been absolutely impressed with pretty much everything I have tried. The quality of ingredients and the results you get is really amazing. I bought this product to help even out my skin tone and add hydration because I have really dry skin on my face and body. I also use the KORA Essential Body Wash, which works great with this product. I also use a derma roller on my body once a week to help build collagen, encourage cell turnover and help reduce some light marks I have leftover on my body from previous breakouts.

Previous to using certified organic body care, I used conventional body washes and scrubs that would irritate my skin and cause bumps to form on my skin. What I love about the KORA body range, the body wash and body rosehip oil in particular, is how light they feel on my skin. I cannot use coconut oil or any heavy oils on my skin because it will get clogged. I aim to use lighter, water based products on both my face and body. The Luxurious Rosehip Body Oil is great because it is such a light, watery oil that doesn’t clog my skin, hydrates it overnight leaving my skin silky soft in the morning, provides a nice healthy glow, and evens out my skin tone beautifully. I prefer to use this when I don’t have any active breakouts, however it works wonders when applied to small red bumps from ingrown hairs. It gets rid of them overnight! This is my second bottle of this heavenly goodness, so you know it’s good!

Description:

“A carefully blended powerful treatment Body Oil combining Noni Extract, and Organic Rosehip providing the skin with a rich source of antioxidants and Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’S). EFAs are important in preventing damage to skin tissues. This Luxurious Body Oil hydrates and replenishes the skin’s moisture levels. It improves skin tone and texture and leaves the skin feeling radiant, soft and healthy.”

Directions:

“For the ultimate bath experience put a few drops of KORA Organics Luxurious Rosehip Body Oil into the bath to create a super moisturising bath experience. Alternatively, for a great after shower or after bath experience, warm several drops of this delicate, luxurious oil in the palms of the hands and rub all over the body into moistened skin. An essential multi-purpose, nourishing body oil designed to hydrate and illuminate the skin.”

Ingredients: Rosa eglentaria (Rose Hip) Oil*, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, d-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Soyabean derived Natural Vitamin E), Punica granatum (Pomegranate) Oil*, Morinda citrifolia (Noni Fruit)*, Fragrance (Parfum), Limonene**. *Ingredient from Organic Farming. **From Essential Oils.

PROUDLY AUSTRALIAN MADE AND OWNED. NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS. VEGAN.

Smell:

This product has the typical rosehip oil scent, which I can’t quite describe. It’s not a terribly offensive smell, but it is also not the most amazing smell either. I happen to really like the scent. The scent doesn’t linger very strongly on the skin, especially when left to soak in overnight.

Blended Out

As I said, this oil is very light and watery so it does have a runny consistency. It is incredibly easy to blend and spread over a large surface area of skin. It does take a little while to soak in after application, I’d say about 10 minutes and you shouldn’t have that oily feeling anymore. I like to press and dab it into the skin after i’ve applied it everywhere so that it dries quicker. It leaves your skin feeling so silky soft, supple, hydrated, and comfortable.

Packaging:

To use the product, just tip over the bottle and the product drips out. I really like the control and amount of product the top dispenses. However, I don’t like how the oil seeps around the top and down the bottle which can leave it feeling oily. I love the positive affirmation inscribed at the back, which reads confidence, as I feel like this product has definitely given me my confidence back.

Results: With continued use, results took up to a couple of weeks for me to see a difference with my uneven skin tone and texture. However, after the first use, my skin instantly felt and looked hydrated, glowy, smooth and supple. This product also doesn’t break me out, which is amazing for an oil!

Size: 80 mL / 2.7 fl.oz.

Skin Type: For all skin types. I find this is particularly good for dry, sensitive skin.

Price: AU$59.95. Although this is very pricey, the amount of product is reasonable and the results are worth it if you have uneven skin tone. It also lasts a while if you use it once/twice a week. Mine lasted for around 5-6 months.

Rating: 5/5

Recommend? Absolutely Yes! Because of it’s price, I would suggest this product to people who are concerned with uneven skin tone and texture on their body.

Kora Organics Vitamin Enhanced Lip Balm Review

Hello Beauties!

Today I am going to review the KORA Organics Vitamin Enhanced Lip Balm. Now, you all know how much I adore Miranda Kerr’s certified organic skincare line. Most of the products that I have tried from the line I have fallen absolutely in love with, becoming staples in my beauty regime. Not only is everything certified organic, but the products actually work, especially for my sensitive skin. It’s definitely the most reliable certified organic skincare line on the market. I am not the easiest person to please, especially when it comes to certified organic skincare, because I have tried so many different brands and have been disappointed. However, KORA Organics delivers truly amazing results.

Description:

“The ultimate lip balm for smooth, soft, moist lips. The highest quality Jojoba, Avocado, Rosehip and nutrient rich extracts have been organically flavoured to taste and feel simply sublime. Our vitamin enhanced formula contains Vitamin C and E to soothe, smooth and renew even the driest of chapped lips, leaving them soft and kissable.”

Even for my dry, chapped lips, this lip balm definitely makes them feel very smooth, soft and kissable!

Ingredients: Ricinus communis (Castor) Oil*, Beeswax*, Castor Isostearate Beeswax Succinate, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Oil*, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Cetyl Palmitate, Sorbitan Palmitate, Sorbitan Olivate, d- alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Soyabean derived Natural Vitamin E), Persea gratissima (Avocado) Oil*, Rosa eglentaria (Rose Hip) Oil*, Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) Oil*, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Malpighia glabra (Acerola Cherry Powder)*, Maltodextrin*, Morinda citrifolia (Noni Fruit)*, limonene**. **From essential oils. *Ingredient from Organic Farming.

IMG_5022 IMG_5026

Texture/Feel: This lip balm feels very smooth, moisturising and soft on the lips. It gives a very nice shine, making your lips appear a little fuller. The formula is quite sticky and waxy, however melts into the lips quite nice. The only thing I can fault with this lip balm, is that it doesn’t stay put on the lips for very long, which leads me to keep reapplying it. Also, as you get more towards the bottom of it, it can clump up so you end up with more solid bits on your lips.

Smell/Taste: I quite like the subtle citrusy flavour of this lip balm. It isn’t too strong but you can definitely taste the lemon/lime essential oils.

Price: AU$24.95. The price for the size of this lip balm i feel is a little bit much. You do get quite a bit of product, however it’s still not a lot. If you are on a beauty budget, I would suggest skipping on this and using pure organic coconut oil as your lip balm.

Size: 6.5 mL / 0.22 fl.oz.

Longevity: As I said before, because this doesn’t last very long on the lips, I have to reapply it quite a bit which makes the product run out faster. However, because it is in a tub and the formula is quite sticky and waxy, it has lasted me quite a while. You also don’t need to use a lot of it as it spreads very easily.

IMG_5020

Packaging: I love all of KORA product’s packaging, especially the aqua blue colour! It’s very calming and soothing to the eye. KORA has just recently released a squeezable tube version of this lip balm, with a doe foot applicator. However, I prefer tubs for my lip balms. I love the peace affirmation at the back of the packaging as well.

Rating: 3.5/5

Recommend? As much as I enjoy using this product, I do think that it is quite pricey. I also do prefer my Endota Spa lip balm a lot better. However, if you want to splurge on a good quality certified organic lip balm, I would recommend to give this one a try.
