Hello Beauties!

Today, I thought I would review a wonderful product that I have been using for a few months now that I have fallen completely in love with! I usually don’t give in to product hype but I decided to give this one a go since it was such a well known Aussie brand (with free and fast shipping in Australia!) and everyone and their mother has raved about how incredible this product is! It also has lasted me such a long time and wasn’t expensive at all! I also loved how the ingredients were pretty much all natural! Although I still love and use my Clarisea Sea Salt scrub, my skin does get dry sometimes and I wanted a body scrub that would also hydrate my skin. Frank really does deliver, containing a lot of nourishing oils! It has done everything I wanted and more!

I also have really sensitive and breakout prone skin on my body, and this did not irritate it at all, but has actually helped it tremendously! My skin looks brighter, more even, with little to no breakouts, and it also feels sooo ridiculously soft! I am incredibly picky with products, especially for my body, and I can safely say that even if you have sensitive skin, give this body scrub a try! I also love multi purpose products, such as the Frank scrub, which has also helped to reduce some cellultie on my legs! I have also been complimented on how soft my skin feels!

Ground coffee is known to have incredible skin benefits, such as improving circulation and increasing blood flow which is fantastic to help decrease the appearance of skin conditions, such as cellulite. There are also many other benefits which you can read out on the Frank website! Although I wasn’t too fond of the smell of coffee before, the scent really grew on me and now I really enjoy it! The only downside to this product would be how messy it leaves your shower, however it’s not too bad to wash off the shower walls later.

Description on website:

“I’m frank coffee scrub packed with 200g of orange, almond & lots of other good stuff.

I’ll target cellulite, stretch marks, psoriasis, varicose veins, eczema, acne and scarring with roasted and ground robusta coffee beans.

I’ll smooth your lumps and bumps with brown sugar & sea salt, moisturise and tone your skin with cold pressed sweet almond oil, and use vitamins & minerals to work wonders from the outside in.

Then I’ll make us both smell good with a little orange essence.”

How to use: After you have done everything you need to in the shower, take a couple of small handfuls of the scrub and scrub in circular motions around your whole entire body. Turn your water off, and leave it on for about 5-10 minutes, or you can leave it on for longer but I usually leave it on for around 10 minutes. The instructions say you can just wash it off and leave it, or if you have breakout prone skin, you can wash your body with a separate body wash after which i prefer to do. I use my beloved Kora essential body wash and this way I never break out!

Ingredients: Coffea Robusta Seed Powder (Coffee), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Water (Aqua), Sodium Chloride (Salt), Sucrose (Brown Sugar), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Fragrance (Parfum)* * Natural

Smell: Afterwards, you will notice the slight smell of coffee on your skin, but nothing too obnoxious. However, if you don’t like that, you can always use a separate body wash after.

Feel: The scrub is very coarse but it doesn’t hurt or anything like that because it does have all the nourishing oils in there. Once you leave it on for 5-10 mins, you can start to feel the oils melting into your skin. As you are washing it off, your skin doesn’t feel oily or greasy, just insanely smooth, hydrated and soft! I can’t explain it! There is and ever so slight residue left on your skin, but it feels soaked in. The sweet almond oil soaks into the skin and it is also non comedogenic! Its as if you’ve already applied body butter to your skin!

Longevity: I use it about once or twice a week and use a couple of small handfuls for my entire body. You don’t need a lot of product as it’s easily spreadable. I have had this since November and still have quite a bit left!

Price: AUD $14.95

Size: 200g

Rating: 5/5

Results I got: Less body breakouts, clearer and brighter skin, softer and more hydrated skin, reduced cellulite, hasn’t helped my stretch marks yet (although i’m not too bothered), and more even skin tone and texture.

Recommend? I definitely 100% recommend this! You do get a lot of product for a reasonable price, which will last you around 3 months. It also contains quality ingredients that are mostly natural. It is also a multi use product that can help with a variety of skin conditions. I have very sensitive and breakout prone skin, and this did not irritate it at all. Although I would also recommend to use the Kora Organics essential body wash after if you are prone to clogged pores. This product also comes in a coconut, cacao, or peppermint scent!

Kora Organics “Essential Body Wash” Review

photo 1 photo 2

Hello Beauties!

Today I have a very exciting review on one of my favourite Kora Organics products/body washes ever! For a while, I have been struggling with constant breakouts on my body from harsh soaps, pore clogging shampoos, and scrubs. Because my water based face skincare routine has been working for me so well, I thought I would adopt this same concept to my body skincare routine. I have been struggling to find a good water based body wash that won’t clog my pores or irritate my skin for a while now. It has been especially hard to find a good certified organic body wash as most products contain coconut oil, which breaks my skin out like CRAZY! It wasn’t until I stumbled across Miranda Kerr’s fabulous and luxurious certified organic skincare line, that I thought I would give her body wash a try. I have definitely been a huge fan of her products in the past and so I had high hopes for the “Essential Body Wash.” This body wash is AMAZING! It completely blew me away how well it worked and how much my skin loved it! The ingredients are also very gentle and work to fight against free radicals and acne. The body wash includes one of my favourite ingredients, Green Tea, which makes up the majority of this product. I love how simple and effective the ingredients are.

Like the name suggests, the Kora Organics body wash is DEFINITELY an essential to my body skincare routine. I could not live without it. I have most certainly found my holy grail body wash. I have noticed less and less breakouts on my body to the point of hardly noticing any at all now! This has completely boosted my self esteem and I couldn’t be happier! I am definitely a very harsh critic when it comes to my beauty products and how well they work, so when I recommend something I have truly put it to the test and completely believe in it. If you are suffering from body breakouts I would highly suggest you give this product a try and see the amazing results for yourself. I know that everyone’s skin is different and you may react to certain ingredients differently. However, I have sensitive skin all over that is prone to acne if my products contain a lot of pore clogging ingredients, and this body wash has not broken me out, but rather healed my body breakouts a lot faster. This product is also recommended for all skin types, so you just have to give it a try!

Foaming when water is added

Foaming when water is added.

Though this product is water based, it does feel slightly gel like and moisturizing. It feels very nice on the skin; not too watery, thin, or too thick. It is the perfect consistency. Because it doesn’t contain all of the harsh foaming agents like SLS, it doesn’t foam up as much. However, it also doesn’t not foam. When water is added, it does foam up, but only a little bit, which I really like. You can still get a decent foam, where your skin feels really clean, but not stripped. This product is perfect in that it’s not too drying or too moisturizing on your skin. I hate it when products leave a film of moisture on your skin, because that’s how I break out. This product does not do that, which is why it is perfect. Your skin just feels fresh, clean, invigorated, and comfortable.

Smell: Like all Kora Organics products, this body wash smells absolutely DIVINE. It smells a lot like the foaming cleanser. It reminds me of the Australian bush, which must be from the Sandalwood oil. It makes your shower smell like a spa! The scent also lingers a bit on your skin afterwards, which is a nice plus! I don’t find this to irritate my skin at all.

Longevity: I think you do get quite a generous amount of product. You only need a little bit to cover your entire body, because it does foam up quite well. If you use body wash everyday, I would say this would last up to a month and a half or two.

Packaging: As always the aqua blue packaging is beautiful and calming. I love how there are positive affirmations at the back of each product. The word “understanding” is placed on the back of this product, which I love. The only fault I have with the packaging is that the product sometimes leaks a little in the lid when I open it and some water also spills out from my shower. I think if they made the lid more secure, it would fix this problem, however it doesn’t bother me that much.

Price: AU $37.50. I think that the price is reasonable for the amount, quality of ingredients, longevity, and its effectiveness.

Size: 150 mL / 5.07 fl.oz. The size is definitely very generous for a certified organic product, especially it being a body wash. It can definitely last you a good while.

Recommend? Yes, Yes, Yes. This is the most amazing water based, non irritating or pore clogging body wash I have ever tried! A truly god sent product.

Rating: 5/5

Where to Buy: If you live in Australia, you can pretty much get Kora Organic products from any David Jones store. Or you can purchase from the Kora Organics Website, where they ship internationally:

What Your Skin Is Telling You

Your skin is the largest organ, and how you take care of it will show through. Your skin can say a lot about how much sleep you get, your diet, hygiene, as well as the amount of exercise you do. That is why it is important to keep a healthy balance amongst all these factors to promote clear skin. You are the only person who knows your skin best and what it reacts to, as well as what it needs. Sometimes, no matter how hard you work on your skin, you still can’t find the underlying causes of your acne or pimples. So, I’d thought I would share with you a link to an interesting website, where a Chinese acne face map can help further guide you to understand some of the underlying causes of acne spots on certain areas of your face. It covers the forehead, nose, temples and between the brows, left cheek, right cheek, jawline and chin. This map was designed to show how your skin most often reflects your internal health, so by detecting where on your face you get spots most often, you can identify the cause, as well as prevent it. I find this acne face “mapping” extremely useful as it gives you a better idea on what might be causing your acne spots dependent on the location on your face. The website also provides helpful solutions in regards to the different areas on your face that you may experience breakouts. I hope that this face map can help some of you out there who are struggling to figure out the cause of your breakouts, as well as help you find solutions in preventing breakouts.
