Kora Organics Blemish Gel Review

Hello beauties! Today I will be reviewing the Kora Organics Blemish gel. Kora Organics is a certified organic skincare line, created by Australian Victoria’s Secret Model and certified health coach, Miranda Kerr. This was probably the second Kora product I have ever tried, and was really impressed. It is the best natural/certified organic blemish treatment I have yet tried. At first I was skeptical, because there are many natural blemish treatments out there that do not work, or don’t work as fast. This product, however, does work really well and really fast. It features Noni fruit extract, a powerful antioxidant (Kerr’s beauty secret), which also features in each Kora Organics product.

Description as on the Kora Organics Website:

KORA Organics Blemish Gel is a powerful blend of concentrated botanicals specifically designed to naturally help with and address problematic skin. Noni extract and Lemon Myrtle combine to simply, quickly and effectively support the skin against blemishes.

Directions: Apply a pea sized amount to clean, dry skin directly onto the spot or blemish 2-3 times a day. Gently smooth the gel around the blemish and allow 1-2 minutes to dry. Use in conjunction with KORA Organics skincare products.

I would definitely recommend to only apply directly to the blemish and not the entire face, to prevent irritating your skin (as it’s very potent) and it will also prevent you from using up the product quicker.

Ingredients: Olea europea (Olive) Leaf Extract*, Aloe barbardensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Alcohol*, Glycerin, Cocoyl Proline, Malpighia glabra (Acerola Cherry Powder)*, Maltodextrin, Morinda citrifolia (Noni Fruit) Extract*, Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Backhousia citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Oil*, Sodium Hyaluronate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sodium chloride (Macrobiotic Sea Salt), Lactic Acid, Aqua (Water,) citral**. **From essential oils. *Ingredient from Organic Farming.

Smell: The smell of this product is absolutely divine! I think it must be the Lemon Myrtle! Smells very botanical and fresh. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Feel: The feel is gel like and liquidy. Once rubbed into skin, it does dry, however it’s able to not only dry out the blemish, but also hydrate the skin at the same time, which is pretty amazing. My skin doesn’t feel irritated, however I only apply the product to the blemish to avoid any irritation that might occur, with the natural alcohol in the product.

Effective? Yes, it is quite effective. It seemed to get rid of my blemishes (especially the hard ones on my jawline) in about 3 days. Each day your blemish is significantly reduced and less red. However, I would only apply directly to the blemish, because when I used to apply it to a whole area, it would sometimes cause a few blemishes (maybe because of the potent nature and natural alcohol in the product).

Size: The product is 10ml or 0.43 fl.oz. It is quite small.

Packaging: Really love the aqua blue packaging! It comes in a squeeze tube (much better than the previous pump version) so you are able to control the amount of product as well as get all of the product out. I also really love that at the back of each of Kora’s products, there is a positive word. So, for this product I believe it is laughter. I think positive affirmations are a really great added touch to the Kora range.

Longevity: This is probably the product’s only fault. I go through this product quite quickly, which is annoying because this product is quite expensive along with added shipping prices (or you can buy in store). I think I may have gone through about one each month/month and half. However, if you only apply a small amount directly to the blemish it will last a decent amount of time. But if you’re the type of person to break out regularly, you might use this product up very quickly.

Price: AUD $39.50. This is quite expensive relative to the amount of product you receive, especially if you buy it online and pay for added shipping (coming to roughly $50). However, because it is made with such good quality and potent botanicals and it is certified organic, it is expected to be on the pricier side.

Rating: 4/5. Only because it doesn’t last very long and it is quite expensive.

Recommend? Yes.

Where to get it? Of course you can purchase it off the Kora organics website: http://www.koraorganics.com. I really would recommend their online store because of the wonderful customer service. In Australia, your package will arrive within 1-2 days, which is amazing. You also receive very generous amounts of samples, and sometimes even a full size product! You can also purchase Kora at: http://www.net-a-porter.com, however I don’t think they sell the full range. Kora organics is also available within David Jones stores.
